Having grown up in and around Redding, our guides love sharing their hometown with locals and visitors alike. Float leisurely underneath the famous Sundial Bridge and follow the river’s relaxing curves while your professional Oarsman prepares a meal tailored to your preferences. Take in the wildlife, natural beauty, and the peaceful sounds of running water and leave all the meal preparation and worries to your experienced guide. Our Cruises
Our Sacramento River Cruises can accommodate parties of 2-5 people. For larger parties, we can launch 2 boats for a total of 7 people. All cruises launch from the Posse Grounds Boat Ramp and end at the South Bonneyview Boat Ramp. We shuttle you back to your vehicle. Food
All entrees served on the boat come with salad, house-made dressing, bread, baked potatoes, seasonal veggies and your choice of protein. Protein options include; Rib Eye Steak, Salmon, Teriyaki Chicken, Lemon Pepper Chicken, Vegetarian Option or a Vegan Option.
Drinks
Bottled water is provided on board. While we do not provide alcoholic beverages including beer or wine on the boat, you are welcome to bring your own alcohol. We will happily provide all needed drink ware on board including, stemware, ice bucket, corkscrew, and ice.
Dessert
After your meal we provide chocolate for our guests. If you have any special dessert requests we can accommodate for an additional fee, or you are welcome to bring your own speciality dessert like cake or pie, or ice cream. Let us know ahead of time so we can accommodate your requests.

All cruises launch from the Posse Grounds Boat Ramp. The boat ramp is behind the Redding Civic Center. Drive past the Turtle Bay main parking lot, and continue on to Aoki Way to the Posse Grounds Boat Ramp!

While we do not provide beer or wine on board, you are welcome to bring your own alcohol. We can provide stemware, ice bucket, corkscrew and ice.

We recommend that you use the bathroom before getting on the boat. There is a public restroom at the sundial bridge waterfront.

Anyone over the age of 16 it is your choice if you want to wear a life vest. We provide all life vest on board.

In an effort to preserve the boat interior and canopy, we request that you refrain from smoking anything flammable and or lit with fire.

We do not offer refunds at this time. If you cannot make the originally scheduled date for any reason including weather conditions, we can reschedule or issue a gift certificate.

The cruise will end at the South Bonneyview Boat Ramp, located at S Bonnyview Rd, Redding, CA 96001. We will then shuttle you back to your vehicle that is parked at the Posse Grounds boat ramp.

There may be a couple splashes when going over some of the rapids, but we've never capsized or ever had any issues with anyone going overboard. This is relaxing cruise down the river.

We recommend that you bring your camera, jacket, and any particular beverage you would like to consume. We will provide bottled water, snacks, blankets, music, and dinner or brunch (depending on your selected cruise).

Our Story
In 2001, River Romance began with a small two-person boat and a passion for the Sacramento River. Nobody knew about River Romance when we started, but now people book dinner cruises with us from all over the United States when they visit the Northstate. Our guests have found that we are quite a unique experience and they usually leave with a new appreciation for Northern California and the Sacramento River.
In 2021, the founders, Todd and Linnea, retired and passed the torch to their youngest granddaughter, Rachel. Sharing her grandfather’s vision and passion for the Sacramento River, Rachel was thrilled to be able to carry on his legacy of sharing the river’s treasures with the local community and beyond.
